Most of the children attending the Learning Centre are first-generation learners who rely on the center for nutritious meals on working days. The academic success of these children is closely tied to their health and the quality of their diet. To support them, NMGCT has implemented a Child Sponsorship Program, assisting many students in need.
Ensuring the health and well-being of these children is a core part of the New Mighty Grace Charitable Trust’s mission. Our center has direct contact with over 500 families through these children aged 5-17 years. For up to 2 hours a day, and throughout 13 critical years of their development, the children benefit from the services provided by the Community After School and other welfare schemes offered by the trust. This comprehensive approach aims to have a significant positive impact on the growth and development of these underprivileged and neglected children.
The School Health Program, a key initiative of NMGCT, focuses on preventing, protecting, and improving the health status of the children attending the center, as well as the staff. The program also aims to extend its reach to over 400 families through these children. By providing health education and establishing healthy habits, we aim to lay a strong foundation for the future well-being of these children as they grow into adulthood.
NMGCT plans to collaborate and network with like-minded organizations, both governmental and non-governmental, to implement this project and address broader issues related to integrating these children and their families into mainstream society.

The Centre Health Program comprises several key components:
- Equitable school health policies
- Creating a safe learning environment
- Implementing life skills-based health education
- Providing school-based health and nutrition services
- Establishing a school counseling program
By focusing on these pillars, the Centre Health Program aims to promote the importance of school health, achieve the education Millennium Development Goals, and foster effective partnerships between health and education sectors.
Through these efforts, NMGCT is committed to ensuring the overall well-being and development of the children attending the Learning Centre.
